Founder's Week
Founder’s Week is a three-day trip provided to our high school students that seeks to provide an opportunity to hear from some of the most well-known ministers in evangelical Christianity. The trip serves to strengthen our students and empower them to assist with spiritual formation efforts at ODCS. This opportunity is designed to bring the learning back from Moody Bible Institute to the halls of ODCS by allowing our students to visit one of the premier Bible colleges in the country and bring back a clearer understanding of biblical leadership.
Our prayer each year for this trip is that the time spent at the conference will inspire and provoke our students to become biblically based leaders at our school. This type of leadership strives to better understand oneself and to help others grow from the Lord’s work in their life.
Rooted In Truth Conference
Have you ever wondered how Christians can offer truth and clarity to a world that seems to shun both? At this event, teens, young adults and parents will hear and engage with renowned apologists from across the country who visit the campus of ODCS to present Christian responses to cultural challenges of today. Each year's event will conclude with a question and answer session featuring conference presenters. Conference sessions explore questions such as:
- Do all roads lead to God?
- Is Christianity a viable worldview?
- Can we trust the Bible?
- Why do bad things happen to good people?
- Are science and faith compatible?
- and more!
Rooted in Truth provides an excellent opportunity for our 7-12th grade students to wrestle with some of the tough questions of our day. The goal for the day is to equip our students by demonstrating the truth of a biblical view and how students can build their lives on the sure foundation of Christ for all of their lives.
Open Door Christian Schools is proud to host this annual event for our students, their families, and the community.
