Kyro Taylor is a passionate disciple of Christ and joins ODCS with 20-plus years of dynamic academic experience. After graduating from Taylor University with his Bachelors in education, Kyro faithfully returned to the community he grew up in and taught in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. As an educator and school leader, Kyro worked diligently to empower students and families to leverage academics for career and college success. Mr. Taylor has advocated for social and emotional learning and created partnerships with community organizations to support his students and staff. He has coached Football, Track, Coed Powerlifting, and Soccer. With a growing heart and passion for students and learning, he obtained his MA in Educational Leadership from Baldwin-Wallace University & transitioned to Winchester, Virginia at John Handley High School. Mr. Taylor then received the Lord’s call to return to Cleveland and serve as a School Administrator both at the K-8 and High School levels, for a total of 10 years. He has also received training as a Biblical Counselor from Faith Ministries in Lafayette, Indiana. Mr. Taylor and his wife have two children who attend ODCS and live in Amherst, OH. With Mr. Taylor’s love for our Savior and passion for equipping students and families to grow academically, socially, and spiritually, ODCS students and staff will be empowered to fulfill the school’s mission and vision.
