Jayson Bendik is a committed Christ follower and has faithfully served in public education for 19 years. Before ODCS, Jayson worked in various roles where he developed into an ambitious leader who served others with Christ-like love. He began his career as a teacher and coach, which propelled him to spread his influence in leadership roles as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean of Students, Community Engagement Coordinator, and Director of Operations. He holds a Bachelors in Education from Mount Union University and a Masters of Education from Ashland University in Educational Leadership. He has five children that attend ODCS and a dedicated wife who also works as a P.E. teacher at the school. Needless to say, he is absolutely invested in the mission of the school to equip disciples through exemplary education and has a heart for working with Upper School students and their families. He passionately believes the years a student spends in 5th-12th grade are an incredible opportunity, both in and outside the classroom, for them to develop a deep and powerful relationship with our Savior and to ultimately discover God’s purpose for their lives.
