Because ODCS has shaped my life...

"What I love most about ODCS is praying with my students each day and seeing how God is impacting the decisions that they make. I also love hearing my daughters talk of spiritual things that are being reinforced in the classroom. ODCS has completely shaped my life. As a student, teachers mentored me and set an example of what a godly man or woman looked liked. As a teacher, ODCS has helped me grow as a professional through teacher/admin relationships as well as encouraging my God given gifts and abilities. As a parent, ODCS has helped me mold and shape my daughters education by pushing them to accomplish all they can in and out of the classroom, all while training them as children of God."- Stephanie Carrell, ODCS Teacher, Parent, Alum

Because she can pour into students...

"I taught at another school for 5 years prior to having children. That is where we thought we would send our children to school. However, after I subbed at ODCS, I saw a huge difference, especially in the love and concern of the teaching staff for the students. We determined that we would send our daughters to ODCS. They both graduated from here, and we are thankful for the education and spiritual direction they received here. As a teacher, I now get to pour my life into other students and do for them what others did for my daughters."- Mrs. Shirleen Abraham, ODCS Teacher

Because they are succeeding...

“We nailed it! We had two students win outstanding attorney awards, and another win outstanding witness award. The whole team displayed confidence and poise beyond their years. This confidence, under pressure, in a real court setting, shows that they are ready to face real world challenges.”  Ohio High School Mock Trial offers an innovative approach to learning about law and how our legal system functions. Guided by teachers and volunteer legal advisors, students participate in an original, unscripted simulated trial written by attorneys.  High school students argue both sides of the case after months of case preparation.  Competitions at the district, regional and state levels are conducted in an actual courtroom and are scored by panels of practicing lawyers and judges. -  Mr. Loescher, ODCS History Teacher and Mock Trial Team Coach.

Because I'm committed to teaching...

"ODCS provides an excellent academic program with a biblical, Christian worldview. Many students have come back to tell me how well this school prepared them for all types of colleges. I have even received a written thank you letter from a college professor thanking me for continuing to challenge students to use critical thinking skills and for not watering down the content of the high school science courses that I taught. After 33 years of teaching, I have now retired.  But I continue to stay involved by volunteering my time at ODCS tutoring students in math and science." -Brenna Burger, Retired ODCS teacher.
