Open Door Christian Patriot Principles

Open Door Christian Schools Patriot Principles Spiritual Formation

At Open Door Christian Schools, we believe in equipping disciples through exemplary education. That means that we have a discipleship-based environment. We promise you that at Open Door Christian Schools, we're going to teach you about God and teach you about yourself (your identity), which are first two Patriot principles. We want you to have a clear understanding of who the Lord is, and we want you to have a clear understanding of who you are.

We’re going to teach you those things intentionally in our chapels that we have once a week. We're going to teach you those things daily in your Bible class, and we are going to try to interweave God's truth into everything that we say and do, so your experience its truly a Christ-centered experience.

We want you to fully recognize that who the Lord is and our need of Him, and we want you to recognize who you are. We want you to fully understand that you have been commissioned to be salt and light for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to a world that desperately needs him.

Our third patriot principle at Open Door Christian Schools is our relationships. We believe that you are wired for relationships with one another in Christ. That's why our program ODCS Serves is so important. We want you to realize that you are part of a family that serves the world by being an ambassador of Jesus Christ.

Our fourth patriot principle is this: we believe in responsibility. We believe that God has not just saved us so that we can just take it all in and be consumers only. We believe that God's truth has been implanted in our heart, and that we have a responsibility to live out loud for the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

That means that we want you to excel in your academic work. We just don't want you to skate by, we expect your best. We also want you to excel on the athletic fields, and we want you to excel in the other opportunities that we give you.

Why? So you can truly know that you have taken the gifts with which the Lord has gifted you, and you have stretched yourself and grown yourself to be the man or the young woman that Christ wants you to be.

We want you to realize that Matthew 28:20, the verse that tells the disciples to go out and make disciples, is not just an event, it is a calling. It is a way of life. And we want the students and the staff of Open Door Christian Schools to fully embrace that truth towards the end that we impact souls for Jesus Christ.

We are Open Door Christian Schools: Equipping disciples who redeem culture.
