ODCS PHILOSOPHY
Open Door Christian Schools (ODCS) are co-educational, preschool through grade
twelve, college preparatory schools serving Christian families. Governed by a board of
directors, ODCS is a non-profit, non-denominational institution, which was founded in
1976. ODCS is committed to the historic Christian perspective of life as set forth in the
Bible, recognizing God as the creator of all things, the Holy Spirit as the convictor of the
believer, and the Son of God as Savior of all who believe in Him.

ODCS is committed to the Judeo-Christian ethic and holds that the knowledge of God is
the beginning of wisdom; that the Bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God; that
fellowship with God is the basis for true fellowship with one another; that each student is
uniquely created by God and is endowed with particular talents. Therefore, the aim of
ODCS, functioning as an extension of the home, is to nurture each student in his or her
development as a whole person: spiritually, mentally, physically and socially--providing
the opportunity to educate for eternity.

Our philosophy is summarized in II Timothy 3:16 and 17 (NIV)
“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and
training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every
good work.”
