Open Door Christian Schools

Volunteers have literally saved our school tens of thousands of dollars each year. The school places a very high value on each volunteer hour of service. Although each school family is asked to volunteer for at least one activity a year, most families volunteer more.

Over the years, supportive parents have been instrumental in building ODCS to a remarkable level of excellence. The privilege of a lower-than-cost tuition has opened the doors for prayer, faith, and virtue. Our schools families' prayers, involvement in their children's education and school activities, volunteer hours, and financial contributions have REFLECTED CHRIST. Parents continue to be significant partners in providing an outstanding Christian education.

Prayer - Prayer is one of the most important components of the day at Open Door Christian Schools. The faculty meets for morning devotions, the administrators and school board pray at each of their meetings, homeroom teachers pray with the students . . . the list goes on.

Parents have the opportunity to meet together on Monday mornings to pray for school, student, and family needs.

Parent - Teacher Fellowship (PTF) - This organization is much like PTA chapters. Parents of students are automatically members of our PTF. Meetings are held quarterly, where parents can benefit from valuable education helps for their children and interact with faculty members.

The PTF has raised money for the school through several fun and interesting events. PTF has been able to buy large departmental items, playground equipment, office equipment, and sponsor the annual Teacher Appreciation Week.

Music Booster Club (MBC) - This Booster Club has accomplished quite a bit through their events for the benefit of our music students. MBC has been able to replace and upgrade school instruments, purchase sheet music, and financially assist students attending band camp and music competitions.

Patriot Pride – This is a support group to the Athletic Department of Open Door Christian Schools. The organization provides a unique opportunity to promote the efforts of Athletics at ODCS through support of the athletes, coaches, programs, and department.

Patriot Pride is open to all members of the community that have an interest in being stewards of the wonderful gifts that God has provided to them. We seek to recognize the past, embrace the present, and prepare for the future of Open Door Christian Schools Athletics. The acronym Pride represents our mission:
P - Promote the Athletic Programs
R - Responsibility to the resources provided to us
I - Inspire the athletes to strive for improvement
D - Discipleship to all that we encounter
E - Education in the ways of the Lord
