Physics In Action | Print |

The Honors Physics class tested the snowball-throwers that they had designed and constructed over the past few weeks. The devices had been designed to be adaptable to launch snowballs (or tennis balls) with the greatest horizontal and/or the greatest vertical displacements possible. There were catapults, various giant slingshots, tubes with spring action and compressed air, and a trebuchet. The snowball-throwers complement the study of projectile motion, or motion in two dimensions. Look for the snowball-throwers to be on display when you visit the ODCS Winter Fest on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 2-5pm. Come and see all the activities and learning opportunities available to our students here at ODCS!
