The American Heart Association has highlighted ODCS

Since 2004 ODCS has piloted Heartsafe Kids.© This innovative, 21st-century, reality-based program teaches lifesaving skills to our students beginning in Kindergarten and progressing in a coordinated way, adding age-appropriate skills throughout their school years. The goal is to improve survival from sudden cardiac arrest by teaching rescue skills to students in ways that will help them to save lives with confidence.
