Congratulations to our contestants!
This is the second year that ODCS will participate in the ACSI Geography Bee. However, this year the Bee will be held “in house” and will only involve third and fourth graders. Students will earn ribbons based on how well they answer the 40 questions that are asked during the Bee.
Students have been meeting with Mrs. Abraham after school on Wednesdays for practice. Students competed in their classrooms in order to qualify to participate in this Bee.
Chosen were third graders: Michael Bova, Gavin Bradley, Natalie Burton, Jon Roy, Christian Van Kaenel, and Josh Zaborowski. Fourth grade participants are: Todd Giesbrecht, Jay Lin, Molly Honaker, Abby Humphreys, Connor Rusnak, and Nicole Schieferstein.
The Bee will be held on April 13th in Room 310. Fourth graders will compete at 12:15, followed by the Third grade competition at 1:15. All parents are welcome to come to this event.
