Fifth & Sixth Grades

The Fifth and Sixth grades will experience a bit of an overhaul next year.

Students will be changing classes for math, science, language arts, and social studies.

They will have a homeroom teacher that is assigned to their respective grade,

however they will meet with the following teachers for these subject areas -

Math - Kathy Oleszczuk, Language Arts - Amy Skolnik,

Science - Bruce Neubauer, and Social Studies - Larry Russ.

This will be an exciting time for teachers and students!

Drama Department Kudos

ODCS is listed in usaweekend.com

as one of the contenders for the best high school presentation of

Disney's High School Musical in 2008. Check out this website for more details. http://besthighschoolmusical.blogspot.com/#contenders

There is even a video clip from the ODCS production!!

Mrs. Boyd's Summer Vacation Suggestion

If you have not already visited The Creation Museum near Covington, Kentucky,

I would HIGHLY recommend it.

My husband and I went last summer and spent five hours there,

wishing we could stay longer.

For more information, go to

http://www.creationmuseum.org or www.answersingenesis.org.

Both are fabulous websites!

Recycling

ODCS announces a paper recycling program with Abitibi Paper Retriever.

You may have noticed two bright green and yellow containers outside of the school,

one on West Ridge and the other near Route 113.

We hope you will help us out by bringing your newspapers, catalogs,

magazines, mail, and office papers and dropping them into a container.

A Final Thought

Thanks again for making this final year at ODCS so special.

I feel so honored and extremely blessed

to have had the privilege of serving Christ here for the past 27 years.

Thank you for sharing your children with me.

I will be praying for all of you and for the continued work of ODCS

in the days and years to come.

Love,

Mrs. Boyd
