The ODCS kindergarten provides an exciting and valuable year of education for your child. We offer a full-day program (8:00-2:40) and half-day program (8:00–11:00). Academically, your child will be equipped for first grade by learning fundamental language and math skills. In language and reading we place a strong emphasis on phonics. In math we utilize a hands-on approach in which the children are actively involved with manipulatives to learn math concepts.

Additionally, we instruct students in social studies, science, art, handwriting, and computer skills. Our students also benefit from music, physical education, and library from specialists within our school. Your child will participate in Bible stories, prayer and character building activities (on topics such as honesty, thankfulness, etc.) on a daily basis and attend chapel weekly. Additionally, ODCS teaches basic social and personal skills using developmentally appropriate activities.

Our kindergarteners love coming to school for all the fun activities and are well prepared for success in first grade! We believe our program offers the best foundation for a child's educational future.

Class Size – ODCS kindergarten classes are designed to allow the student to have individualized attention while still working on developing group social skills. The full-day and half-day programs are ideally set at a class size of 15 students per class.
