BIBLE
God's Word is the foundation for all truth and teaches us how we should live (II Timothy 3:16). The Kindergarten Curriculum includes an overview of Old and New Testament Saints and the way God worked through their lives. Verses are memorized weekly. The Beginner’s Bible, flannel graphs, and videos are used to present the Bible stories.
LANGUAGE ARTS
The Kindergarten Program includes phonics instruction and letter recognition, daily sound/letter relationship activities as well as exploring sight words. The concepts center around themes such as holidays, seasons, animals, insects, dinosaurs, etc. This program incorporates writing, invented spelling, and listening skills.

HANDWRITING
Handwriting Without Tears is a developmentally appropriate writing program. The students use hands-on activities to enhance fine motor skills. The program stresses correct formation of letters and numbers.
MATHEMATICS
The Kindergarten Mathematics Curriculum is a fundamental approach that teaches that God cares about numbers and knows them all. It develops a solid foundation in the language and basic concepts of all areas of mathematics. In each lesson the children learn through hands-on experiences, discussion, and exploration.

SCIENCE
The Scott Foresman Science Course deals with the study of the living world, which God has given to us. We utilize a fundamental, hands-on approach in learning various topics within life science, earth science, physical science and space and technology with an emphasis on weather, plants, insects, the seasons, living and non-living matter, zoo animals and their habitat. Learning occurs through hands-on experiments, songs, stories and class discussion.

SOCIAL STUDIES
The Kindergarten Social Studies program is a fundamental, hands-on approach that teaches students that God expects us to learn from history and the world around us. We learn the importance of being a good citizen and our American Heritage, and how this relates to other people in society. The decision-making process and its effects are a daily part of our routine. Scholastic, Lets Find Out magazine and the other texts are teacher resources.
MUSIC
Music for the lower elementary student encompasses a wide range of experiences that will not only develop skills, but also promote enjoyment of and appreciation for the various media of music. The kindergarten student will begin to study basic music elements such as beat, melody, rudimentary notation, and rhythm. This will be accomplished through singing, movement and body percussion, and playing of both pitched and non-pitched instruments. This class will also expand the imagination of the child through music stories, poems, and games.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Physical education for kindergartners will include various movement experiences designed to develop general large muscle coordination, physical fitness, social interaction, good sportsmanship, and an appreciation for the body God created. These objectives will be achieved through a program of individual activities and simple non-competitive games.
