Lady Patriots Varsity Basketball 2008 -2009 Season This season the Lady Patriots played very well. Though our record did not show it with wins the team played hard every game and continually improved with every game and every practice. They learned a new system this year and it took a while for them all to get it but when they did we played very well. We had our share of rough games, through injuries and illness but through it all the ladies worked hard and I am very proud of them all. They had great attitudes all season and their commitment to become better as individual players and more importantly to make the team better was awesome. They became a close group this year as the season moved on which made it fun to coach them and to see them continually grow as players and people.

The team played very good in the second half of the season and won some exciting games. They impressed me all year because not only did they practice hard they also worked hard in the class room. They are in the top ten in the state for team GPA. That makes coaching basketball easy when you know the team is doing their part in the classroom and when it comes to basketball you can just teach and have fun. The Lady Patriots are a group of young ladies that I am proud to have been able to coach for my first year as a Varsity Head Coach but more importantly they are a group of young ladies that I am proud to know. They made this season fun and inspirational for me and others that watched them play. T
