Mission Statement
The Open Door Christian Schools Athletic Department seeks to support the schools' mission statement by promoting academic success, achieving athletic excellence, ensuring the highest principles of sports conduct, and fostering an appreciation for God’s Word. The end goal is to develop men and women in intellectual maturity, wisdom, and Christian faith who are committed to serving the church, community, and world.
The Open Door Christian Schools Department of Athletics Values and Commitments
1. The department is committed to providing each student-athlete with quality instructional programs starting at the elementary levels and continuing until they reach high school age.
2. We will strive to stay on the cutting edge of technology and development in the services we provide and the programs developed for our student-athletes.
3. The department values competitive athletic and academic experiences that build self-esteem, a sense of responsibility, effective communication skills and an appreciation for life-long learning.
4. The development of increased school spirit and a feeling of ownership in the athletic programs by both the student-athletes and the parents.
5. The department values quality coaches that understand our mission and seek to develop programs that will reach the goals outlined in the mission statement.
6. The department commits itself to honoring the past, enhancing the present, and preparing for the future of Open Door Christian Schools Athletics.
