Mission Statement
The Open Door Christian Schools Athletic Department seeks to support the schools' mission statement by promoting academic success, achieving athletic excellence, ensuring the highest principles of sports conduct, and fostering an appreciation for God’s Word. The end goal is to develop men and women in intellectual maturity, wisdom, and Christian faith who are committed to serving the church, community, and world.

Directions to Open Door

The school is located in Elyria at 8287 West Ridge Road.
*All events are held on the grounds of the school except for Boys Varsity Golf and Girls Tennis

Directions from the East: Take 90 West to State Route 57 South, Take 57 South to State Route 113 West, ODCS is located behind the Church of the Open Door at the intersection of Rt. 113 and West Ridge Rd.

Directions from the West: Take I-80 to the Route 58 Exit. Take Route 58 South to State Route 113 East. ODCS is located behind the Church of the Open Door at the intersection of Rt. 113 and West Ridge Rd.

Patriot Pride is a support group to the athletic department at Open Door Christian Schools. This organization provides a unique opportunity to support and promote the efforts of Athletics at Open Door through support of the athletes, coaches, programs, and athletic department.

Purpose: To pay tribute and extend recognition to those individuals who through the years have contributed to the honor of Open Door Christian Schools in the field of athletics, and who have continued to demonstrate, in their daily lives, the values learned through interscholastic participation in sports while exemplifying the virtues of being people of faith.

Every Season the Athletic Department needs your help in order to make our Sports Programs the best they can be! There are numerous areas that we need volunteers in and we are always looking to start new programs to grow our athletic programs. The following volunteer opportunities are generally needed for every sport at every level.
