2007 The 2007 Season was a drastic improvement in the on-field success of the baseball program. The team achieved the second most wins in school history with a 10-11 record. Junior Kyle Beiswenger set three single season school records by earning 6 victories, striking out 48, and pitching 54 innings. At the plate, Sophomore Adam Bollinger led the team in hitting with a .455 batting average. Juniors Jake Dodd and Aaron Overs both had 24 runs batted in and Junior Jason Gwin scored 24 runs in a very strong team offensive season. The Patriots lost in the second round of the OHSAA Tournament to eventual district champions Cuyahoga Heights. Senior Jimmy Morrison represented the Patriots at the Senior All-Star game at the PipeYard and in the NEOBCA All-Star Game at Jacob's Field. Juniors Jason Gwin and Aaron Overs were named Honorable Mention All-County. |
