lesson plans are subject to change depending on the daily progress of each class. Junior high, high school, fifth grade, and sixth grade band are required to turn in practice sheets at the end of each week.

Junior High Band:
Practice marching songs handed out, prepare for first test over Onward Christian

6th Grade Band:
The band is currently working on music in book two starting at line 19

5th Grade Band:
Band students should be practice everyday for at least 15 minutes. students should be preparing starting with line 14.

4th Grade Recorder:
Recorder players should practice their recorder 3 times a week and work on the first two pages of the book

High School Band:
Band members should be working on memorizing the music for the outdoor show. Students should be working on a new song.

High School Choir:
No outside assignments

Middle School Choir:

No outside assignments

Below is a list containing information the lesson plans for Mr. Clark's band classes. Please read carefully and have your student prepare accordingly. Thank you Mr. Clark

Elementary, Junior, and Senior High Bands will start their class daily with a warm up.

Fifth Grade band's warm up will change and grow more challenging as they improve.

All other bands will use the "B in C II #3" warm up that was provided for them at the start of school.

Sixth Grade and above will then move to several scales from the following list: C F Bb Eb Ab Db Gb B E A D G

After this the bands will move on to performing chromatics from the same list

The Fifth grade band will perform lines from their Essential Elements 2000 Book and will then be assignment new lines. If you student is absent you may assume that the next few lines have been assigned and these should be practiced for the next class time.

Sixth through twelveth grade students have a folder full of music that have been given to them of the course of the school year. Any and all of these songs may be played on any given band day. When preparing for class all of the music in the folder may be practiced.

I t came be assumed that parts of songs will be played individual without notice during the daily band class. Students should be prepared to play songs for a grade at any time.
