Week of April 12-16th

SOAP Journals are Due This Friday (students who turned in Case for Christ chapters *6th grade only* prior to break do NOT have to complete a SOAP journal)!

5th Grade students who are continuing to use their banks for missions fundraising should continue to hold on to the banks for the next 2 weeks after which time we will turn in money for missions.

This week we will be discussing Worldviews and determining what the big questions in life are and how different schools of thought answer them.  This will lead into a project based on making decisions based on our Christian worldview

5th Grade

This week we will begin a unit on Godly leadership focusing on both the Biblical character of Nehemiah and contemporary Godly leaders as models of Biblical leadership qualities.

Monday: Why is Leadership important and what does it look like?

Tuesday: Nehemiah's Godly model of Leadership

Wednesday: Contemporary Leadership

Homework: Finish article questions (if not finished in class)

Thursday: Being a Leader

Homework: SOAP Journal due tomorrow

Friday: Discussion Day

Homework: Memory Verses due next Friday

 

LEAP Students-

2nd Grade- Conclude Experimenting Unit (PUffmobile race)

4th/5th Grade- Pirate Study Continued (History, Geography, Internet Research, Codes)

6th Grade- Wrap up Chivalry Unit- floor plans

Late Homework Policy

Any work is not turned in on the date that it is due will be graded in the following manor unless arrangements have been made with the teacher in writing:

One Day Late: 10% Off of Final Grade

Two Days Late: Half Credit 

Three Days Late: Zero Credit

* This Policy Does Not Apply to Occasional Credit/No Credit Homework Assignemts worth under 10 Points.  These assigments if turned in will be marked down as a zero if late.*
